The Cultural Attaché Participates in a Distinguished Cultural Evening Titled “Shakespearean Plays” in New Delhi
The Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in New Delhi participated in a cultural evening organized by the Embassy of Romania in India in cooperation with KIIT and KISS University, which was held at the Constitution Club of India in the capital, New Delhi.
The evening featured a remarkable theatrical performance titled “Shakespearean Plays,” presented by students of KIIT and KISS in the Santali language, one of India’s indigenous languages. The performance included excerpts from some of the most celebrated works of the world-renowned playwright William Shakespeare, including Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Macbeth, in an artistic experience that embodied the convergence of world literature and local cultural heritage.
The event was attended by Her Excellency Ms. Sena Latif, Ambassador of Romania to India, along with a number of ambassadors, diplomats, academics, cultural figures, and representatives of educational and cultural institutions.
This event comes within the framework of promoting cultural exchange and dialogue among peoples and highlighting the importance of arts and literature in building bridges of communication and mutual understanding between different cultures.
