The Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Republic of India, Mr. Ahmed Hashim Saleh, accompanied by the Assistant Iraqi Cultural Attaché Asset prof. Dr. fires Sabah Al-Turaihi, visited the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in New Delhi.
The visit took place within the framework of strengthening cultural and academic cooperation, gaining insight into the Centre’s activities and its role in preserving and safeguarding cultural heritage, as well as exploring prospects for joint cooperation in the cultural and artistic fields between the two sides.
The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) is one of India s foremost cultural institutions. It plays a vital role in documenting the nation s cultural heritage, conducting research, organizing exhibitions and scientific and cultural events, and advancing the digital preservation and archiving of manuscripts and other heritage materials.
This visit reflects the commitment of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in New Delhi to strengthening cultural ties with distinguished Indian institutions, thereby fostering greater cultural and academic cooperation between the two friendly countries.
